Exciting kickboxing tournament presented in Pretoria

An internationally recognized and respected kickboxing series is launched in South Africa this weekend, when the first tournament will be presented in Pretoria.

There is no doubt that martial arts in various formats is becoming very popular as spectator sports in South Africa these days.

Among these martial arts, kickboxing remains a firm favourite and an exciting new professional kickboxing series is being introduced to South Africans this weekend at a unique tournament in Pretoria.

Kings K1 has been awarded the professional license by the Worlds Association of Kickboxing (WAKO) to promote the sport of K1 in South Africa. This means that the world’s best fighters will be able to participate in Kings K1 events, providing for all the fans the very best action. Fighters from amateur, pro-amateur and professional, all come to participate in Kings K1.

The inaugural event on June 3 at the Barnyard Menlyn, Pretoria, will host two of the biggest names in professional K1 fighting in South Africa.

Pete Motaung goes up against Patrick “The Beast’ Oche, in an all-out war to open the first Kings K1 event.

Will the experience and strength of Pete Motaung be too much for the youth and speed of Patrick Oche? This fight has all the hallmarks of a legendary bout. These two gladiators guarantee a historical and spectacular battle for all the fans to appreciate.

The event is packed full of fights for the night, with amateur, pro-amateur and professional athletes showing off their skills in the ring at Kings K1.

There are an additional five amateur bouts and three pro-amateur bouts before the main professional fight, showcasing the very best fighters trying to make their way into professional status.
